Spring school "Khovanov and Floer homotopy"

Nantes Université, 18-22 May 2026

About the school

The focus of the spring school is on Khovanov and Floer homotopy theories, respectively in low-dimensional and symplectic topology. It is aimed at Master and PhD students; the format is that of two mini-courses, accompanied by one exercise session each, as well as short talks by the participants.

Speakers

The two minicourses will be ensured by Marithania Silvero and by Noah Porcelli. The introductory lessons will be given by Maxime Moscatelli, Marco Golla, and Rémi Leclercq. More information soon.

Schedule

All lectures take place at the campus "Lombarderie/Michelet" of the University of Nantes, in the Amphi Louis Pasteur in Building 2. Here is the approximate address of the building, and here is a detailed plan of the campus to precisely locate it. Lunches will be at the university cafeteria. There will also be a social dinner on Tuesday evening, in a restaurant yet to determine.

Funding

Lunch at the university cafeteria, coffee breaks as well as a collective dinner will be covered for all participants. We also have enough funds to cover the accommodation (in student twin bedrooms) of some participants; please indicate in the registration form in case you would like to apply for such funding. Note: accommodation will be covered for up to 5 days per participant.

Travel Information

Nantes has an international airport and a train station that is well connected to Paris. (Note that Google Maps might not have accurate data on local transportation within Nantes; you can look up itineraries on the Naolib webpage.) Whereas the train station is located right in the city center, the airport is further away, and there are two options to get back to civilization from there.
